Genesis 1:3-5
3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good. He divided the light from the darkness. 5 Then God called the light day, and He called the darkness night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.

Joshua 1:8
8 This book of the Law must not leave your mouth. Think about it day and night, so you may be careful to do all that is written in it. Then all will go well with you. You will receive many good things.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-10
You do not need anyone to write to tell you when and at what kind of times these things will happen. 2 You know for sure that the day the Lord comes back to earth will be as a robber coming in the night. 3 When they say, “Everything is fine and safe,” then all at once they will be destroyed. It will be like pain that comes on a woman when a child is born. They will not be able to get away from it. 4 But you are not in darkness, Christian brothers. That day will not surprise you as a robber would. 5 For you are children of the light and of the day. We are not of darkness or of night. 6 Keep awake! Do not sleep like others. Watch and keep your minds awake to what is happening. 7 People sleep at night. Those who get drunk do it at night. 8 Because we are men of the day, let us keep our minds awake. Let us cover our chests with faith and love. Let us cover our heads with the hope of being saved. 9 God planned to save us from the punishment of sin through our Lord Jesus Christ. He did not plan for us to suffer from His anger. 10 He died for us so that, dead or alive, we will be with Him.

Luke 6:12-16
12 One day Jesus went up on a mountain to pray. He prayed all night to God. 13 In the morning He called His followers to Him. He chose twelve of them and called them. 14 There were Simon, whom He also named Peter, and his brother Andrew. There were James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Matthew and Thomas. There were James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Canaanite. 16 There were Judas, who was the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot who would hand Jesus over to be killed.

John 11:4-10/div>
4 When Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness will not end in death. It has happened so that it will bring honor to God. And the Son of God will be honored by it also.” 5 Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 But when He heard that Lazarus was sick, He stayed where He was two more days. 7 Then He said to His followers, “Let us go into the country of Judea again.” 8 The followers said to Him, “Teacher, the Jews tried to throw stones at You to kill You not long ago. Are You going there again?” 9 Jesus said, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walks during the day, he will not fall. He sees the light of this world. 10 If a man walks during the night, he will fall. The light is not in him.”

Nehemiah 1:5-9
5 I said, “O Lord God of heaven, the great God Who is honored with fear, Who keeps the agreement and loving-kindness for those who love Him and keep His Laws, 6 listen to me and let Your eyes be open. Hear the prayer of Your servant which I now pray to You day and night for the sons of Israel Your servants, telling the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You. I and my father’s house have sinned. 7 We have sinned in our actions against You. We have not kept the Laws which You gave to Your servant Moses. 8 Remember what You told Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are not faithful, I will make you go different places in other nations. 9 But if you return to Me and keep My Laws and obey them, I will gather you and bring you to the place where I have chosen for My name to be. I will do this even if you have been spread out to the farthest part of the heavens.’

Psalm 88:1-2
O Lord, the God Who saves me, I have cried out before You day and night. 2 Let my prayer come to You. Listen to my cry.

Luke 18:7-8
7 Will not God make the things that are right come to His chosen people who cry day and night to Him? Will He wait a long time to help them? 8 I tell you, He will be quick to help them. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

Psalm 1:1-3
Happy is the man who does not walk in the way sinful men tell him to, or stand in the path of sinners, or sit with those who laugh at the truth. 2 But he finds joy in the Law of the Lord and thinks about His Law day and night. 3 This man is like a tree planted by rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time and its leaf never dries up. Whatever he does will work out well for him.

Luke 2:36-38
36 Anna was a woman who spoke God’s Word. She was the daughter of Phanuel of the family group of Asher. Anna was many years old. She had lived with her husband seven years after she was married. 37 Her husband had died and she had lived without a husband eighty-four years. Yet she did not go away from the house of God. She served God day and night, praying and going without food so she could pray better. 38 At that time she came and gave thanks to God. She told the people in Jerusalem about Jesus. They were looking for the One to save them from the punishment of their sins and to set them free.

Lamentations 2:19
19 Get up and cry out in the night, at the beginning of the night hours. Pour out your heart like water before the Lord. Lift up your hands to Him for the lives of your children who are weak with hunger on every street.”

1 Corinthians 4:5
5 Do not be quick to say who is right or wrong. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring into the light the things that are hidden in men’s hearts. He will show why men have done these things. Every man will receive from God the thanks he should have.

Proverbs 2:10-15
10 For wisdom will come into your heart. And much learning will be pleasing to your soul. 11 Good thinking will keep you safe. Understanding will watch over you. 12 You will be kept from the sinful man, and from the man who causes much trouble by what he says. 13 You will be kept from the man who leaves the right way to walk in the ways of darkness, 14 from the one who is happy doing wrong, and who finds joy in the way of sin. 15 His ways are not straight and are not good.

Proverbs 7:7-23
7 And I saw among the child-like and among the young people a young man without wisdom and understanding. 8 He passed through the street near her corner and took the path to her house, 9 in the light of the evening, after it was dark. 10 See, a woman comes to meet him. She is dressed like a woman who sells the use of her body, and with a heart that wants to fool and trap someone. 11 She is loud and has a strong self-will. Her feet do not stay at home. 12 She is now in the street, now in the center of town where people gather. She lies in wait at every corner. 13 So she catches him and kisses him. With a hard face she says to him, 14 “It was time for me to give gifts on the altar in worship, and today I have paid what I promised. 15 So I have come out to meet you, to look for you, and I have found you. 16 I have spread my bed with coverings of linen cloth from Egypt. 17 I have perfumed my bed with fine perfumes and spices. 18 Come, let us take our fill of love until morning. Let us make ourselves happy with love. 19 For my husband is not at home. He has gone on a long trip. 20 He has taken a bag of money with him, and he will come home at full moon.” 21 She leads him away with her tempting talk. She tempts him with the smooth words of her lips. 22 All at once he follows her, like a bull going to be killed, like a wild animal goes into a trap, 23 until an arrow cuts through him. Like a bird that hurries into the net, he does not know that he will lose his life.

Romans 13:11-14
11 There is another reason for doing what is right. You know what time it is. It is time for you to wake up from your sleep. The time when we will be taken up to be with Christ is not as far off as when we first put our trust in Him. 12 Night is almost gone. Day is almost here. We must stop doing the sinful things that are done in the dark. We must put on all the things God gives us to fight with for the day. 13 We must act all the time as if it were day. Keep away from wild parties and do not be drunk. Keep yourself free from sex sins and bad actions. Do not fight or be jealous. 14 Let every part of you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not allow your weak thoughts to lead you into sinful actions.

Ephesians 5:6-12
6 Do not let anyone lead you in the wrong way with foolish talk. The anger of God comes on such people because they choose to not obey Him. 7 Have nothing to do with them. 8 At one time you lived in darkness. Now you are living in the light that comes from the Lord. Live as children who have the light of the Lord in them. 9 This light gives us truth. It makes us right with God and makes us good. 10 Learn how to please the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the bad things done in darkness. Instead, show that these things are wrong. 12 It is a shame even to talk about these things done in secret.

Psalm 119:147-148
147 I rise before the morning comes and cry for help. I have put my hope in Your Word. 148 My eyes wait for the night hours, so I may think about Your Word.
