Proverbs 4:5-13
5 Get wisdom and understanding. Do not forget or turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not leave her alone, and she will keep you safe. Love her, and she will watch over you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is: Get wisdom! And with all you have gotten, get understanding. 8 Honor her and she will honor you. She will honor you if you hold her to your heart. 9 She will put on your head a crown of loving-favor and beauty.” 10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom. I have led you on the right paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be stopped. If you run, you will not trip. 13 Take hold of teaching. Do not let go. Watch over her, for she is your life.

1 John 5:19-20
19 We know that we belong to God, but the whole world is under the power of the devil. 20 We know God’s Son has come. He has given us the understanding to know Him Who is the true God. We are joined together with the true God through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the life that lasts forever.

Proverbs 9:10-11
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To learn about the Holy One is understanding. 11 For by me your days will grow in number, and years will be added to your life.

Psalm 90:1-2
Lord, You have been the place of comfort for all people of all time. 2 Before the mountains were born, before You gave birth to the earth and the world, forever and ever, You are God.

John 3:1-15
There was a man named Nicodemus. He was a proud religious law-keeper and a leader of the Jews. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Teacher, we know You have come from God to teach us. No one can do these powerful works You do unless God is with Him.” 3 Jesus said to him, “For sure, I tell you, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the holy nation of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? How can he get into his mother’s body and be born the second time?” 5 Jesus answered, “For sure, I tell you, unless a man is born of water and of the Spirit of God, he cannot get into the holy nation of God. 6 Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh. Whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 “Do not be surprised that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wants to and you hear its sound. You do not know where it comes from or where it goes. It is the same with everyone who is born of the Spirit of God.” 9 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can this be?” 10 Jesus said, “Are you a teacher among the Jews and do not know these things? 11 For sure, I tell you, We are talking about things We know. We tell of what We have seen. Yet you do not take Our words to be true. 12 I tell you about things of the earth and you do not believe them. How will you believe if I tell you things about heaven? 13 “No one has gone up into heaven except the One Who came down from heaven. That One is the Son of Man *Who is in heaven. 14 As Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up. 15 Then whoever puts his trust in Him will have life that lasts forever.

Mark 9:33-35
33 They came to the city of Capernaum and were in the house. Jesus asked His followers, “What were you arguing about along the road?” 34 They did not answer. They had been arguing along the road about who was the greatest. 35 Jesus sat down and called the followers to Him. He said, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all. He will be the one to care for all.”

2 Peter 3:10-18
10 The day of the Lord will come as a robber comes. The heavens will pass away with a loud noise. The sun and moon and stars will burn up. The earth and all that is in it will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, you should think about the kind of life you are living. It should be holy and God-like. 12 You should look for the day of God to come. You should do what you can to make it come soon. At that time the heavens will be destroyed by fire. And the sun and moon and stars will melt away with much heat. 13 We are looking for what God has promised, which are new heavens and a new earth. Only what is right and good will be there. 14 Dear friends, since you are waiting for these things to happen, do all you can to be found by Him in peace. Be clean and free from sin. 15 You can be sure the long waiting of our Lord is part of His plan to save men from the punishment of sin. God gave our dear brother Paul the wisdom to write about this also. 16 He wrote about these things in all of his writings. Some of these things are hard to understand. People who do not have much understanding and some who are not strong in the faith change the meaning of his letters. They do this to the other parts of the Holy Writings also. They are destroying themselves as they do this. 17 And so, dear friends, now that you know this, watch so you will not be led away by the mistakes of these sinful people. Do not be moved by them. 18 Grow in the loving-favor that Christ gives you. Learn to know our Lord Jesus Christ better. He is the One Who saves. May He have all the shining-greatness now and forever. Let it be so.

Galatians 3:22-29
22 But the Holy Writings say that all men are guilty of sin. Then that which was promised might be given to those who put their trust in Christ. It will be because their faith is in Him. 23 Before it was possible to be saved from the punishment of sin by putting our trust in Christ, we were held under the Law. It was as if we were being kept in prison. We were kept this way until Christ came. 24 The Law was used to lead us to Christ. It was our teacher, and so we were made right with God by putting our trust in Christ. 25 Now that our faith is in Christ, we do not need the Law to lead us. 26 You are now children of God because you have put your trust in Christ Jesus. 27 All of you who have been baptized to show you belong to Christ have become like Christ. 28 God does not see you as a Jew or as a Greek. He does not see you as a servant or as a person free to work. He does not see you as a man or as a woman. You are all one in Christ. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you have become the true children of Abraham. What God promised to him is now yours.

James 1:12-18
12 The man who does not give up when tests come is happy. After the test is over, he will receive the crown of life. God has promised this to those who love Him. 13 When you are tempted to do wrong, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God cannot be tempted. He will never tempt anyone. 14 A man is tempted to do wrong when he lets himself be led by what his bad thoughts tell him to do. 15 When he does what his bad thoughts tell him to do, he sins. When sin completes its work, it brings death. 16 My Christian brothers, do not be fooled about this. 17 Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God. He is the One Who made all light. He does not change. No shadow is made by His turning. 18 He gave us our new lives through the truth of His Word only because He wanted to. We are the first children in His family.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 It is true, we live in a body of flesh. But we do not fight like people of the world. 4 We do not use those things to fight with that the world uses. We use the things God gives to fight with and they have power. Those things God gives to fight with destroy the strong-places of the devil. 5 We break down every thought and proud thing that puts itself up against the wisdom of God. We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ. 6 We are ready to punish those who will not obey as soon as you obey in everything.

Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The God Who lives forever is the Lord, the One Who made the ends of the earth. He will not become weak or tired. His understanding is too great for us to begin to know. 29 He gives strength to the weak. And He gives power to him who has little strength. 30 Even very young men get tired and become weak and strong young men trip and fall. 31 But they who wait upon the Lord will get new strength. They will rise up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weak.

Isaiah 55:8-11
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and My ways are not your ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 The rain and snow come down from heaven and do not return there without giving water to the earth. This makes plants grow on the earth, and gives seeds to the planter and bread to the eater. 11 So My Word which goes from My mouth will not return to Me empty. It will do what I want it to do, and will carry out My plan well.

Matthew 19:23-30
23 Jesus said to His followers, “For sure, I tell you, it will be hard for a rich man to get into the holy nation of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into the holy nation of heaven.” 25 When His followers heard this, they could not understand it. They said, “Then who can be saved from the punishment of sin?” 26 Jesus looked at them and said, “This cannot be done by men. But with God all things can be done.” 27 Then Peter said to Him, “We have given up everything and have followed You. Then what will we have?” 28 Jesus said to them, “For sure, I tell you, when all the earth will be new and the Son of Man will sit on His throne in His shining-greatness, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, and judge the twelve family groups of the Jewish nation. 29 Everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands because of Me, will get a hundred times more. And you will get life that lasts forever. 30 Many who are first will be last. Many who are last will be first.

1 Thessalonians 5:15-24
15 Do not let anyone pay back for the bad he received. But look for ways to do good to each other and to all people. 16 Be full of joy all the time. 17 Never stop praying. 18 In everything give thanks. This is what God wants you to do because of Christ Jesus. 19 Do not try to stop the work of the Holy Spirit. 20 Do not laugh at those who speak for God. 21 Test everything and do not let good things get away from you. 22 Keep away from everything that even looks like sin. 23 May the God of peace set you apart for Himself. May every part of you be set apart for God. May your spirit and your soul and your body be kept complete. May you be without blame when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 The One Who called you is faithful and will do what He promised.

Proverbs 19:19-21
19 An angry man will suffer punishment. For if you save him from his trouble, you will only have to do it again. 20 Listen to words about what you should do, and take your punishment if you need it, so that you may be wise the rest of your days. 21 There are many plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s plan that will stand.

Ephesians 1:15-23
15 I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all Christians. 16 Since then, I always give thanks for you and pray for you. 17 I pray that the great God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may give you the wisdom of His Spirit. Then you will be able to understand the secrets about Him as you know Him better. 18 I pray that your hearts will be able to understand. I pray that you will know about the hope given by God’s call. I pray that you will see how great the things are that He has promised to those who belong to Him. 19 I pray that you will know how great His power is for those who have put their trust in Him. 20 It is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. This same power put Christ at God’s right side in heaven. 21 This place was given to Christ. It is much greater than any king or leader can have. No one else can have this place of honor and power. No one in this world or in the world to come can have such honor and power. 22 God has put all things under Christ’s power and has made Him to be the head leader over all things of the church. 23 The church is the body of Christ. It is filled by Him Who fills all things everywhere with Himself.

2 Corinthians 4:15-18
15 These things happened for your good. As more people receive God’s favor, they will give thanks for the shining-greatness of God. 16 This is the reason we do not give up. Our human body is wearing out. But our spirits are getting stronger every day. 17 The little troubles we suffer now for a short time are making us ready for the great things God is going to give us forever. 18 We do not look at the things that can be seen. We look at the things that cannot be seen. The things that can be seen will come to an end. But the things that cannot be seen will last forever.

Proverbs 21:2
2 Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, but the Lord knows the hearts.

Proverbs 14:26-30
26 There is strong trust in the fear of the Lord, and His children will have a safe place. 27 The fear of the Lord is a well of life. Its waters keep a man from death. 28 The shining-greatness of a king is in many people, but without people a prince has nothing. 29 He who is slow to get angry has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper makes his foolish way look right. 30 A heart that has peace is life to the body, but wrong desires are like the wasting away of the bones.

Jeremiah 33:3
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you. And I will show you great and wonderful things which you do not know.’
